MUKAH: Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine joined 20 members of the Welfare Bureau of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Tellian Women’s Wing to donate blood yesterday.
The blood donation held in conjunction with the Blood Donation Campaign organised by the Welfare Bureau with the theme “1 Pint of Blood Can Save 10 Lives” took place in the Dewan Seri Pekala, Kampung Kuala Lama Mukah here.
A member of the PBB Tellian Women’s Welfare Bureau, Winnie Sukup said that she has successfully donated a bag of blood for the programme.
She said Royston and 20 other members of the Bureau and residents of Kampung Kuala Lama also managed to collect 21 bags of blood in total.
“Coinciding with the theme “1 pint of blood can save 10 lives” the programme which was held from 7.30 am to 12 noon made everyone and our Bureau happy, with this we say a thousand thanks to the generous donors involved,” she added.
Royston, who took the opportunity to be present to donate blood, said he was grateful to everyone who also donated blood.
