LUNDU: Residents around Telok Melano are very excited from the moment they found out that Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Bilal Shah is coming to their place in conjunction with the Kembara Kenali Borneo.
This is because some of them felt that this is a once in a lifetime visit by His Majesty and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
In conjunction with the visit, the New Sarawak Tribune spoke with some of the residents on their excitement regarding Their Majesties’ visit.
HARIAH JUMAN, 54, Hawker
I am very excited and looking forward to the visit of the King and Queen, as it has never happened even in the past. Of course, I will be joining other people from this area to welcome Their Majesties together with the entourage. And though this visit may never happen again in the near future, I hope they will not stop visiting Sarawak.
FARZALINA ABDUL HASSAN, 37, Hawker
When I found out Their Majesties will be coming to Telok Melano as part of the Kembara Kenali Borneo, I was excited and happy, especially when they have the chance to see for themselves the pace of development in our place. And of course, it does benefit us through and through, and I will be following the rest of the people here to welcome the royal couple.

I found out that Their Majesties are coming to Telok Melano through social media, and of course, I am thrilled that they are coming. And if I ever got the chance to meet them, I will thank them, because they took the opportunity to come to Sarawak, most specifically our place to experience our rich culture and heritage.
