Temple receives RM50k

KUCHING: The Spaoh Chinese Temple here had received a grant of RM50,000 from the Unit for Other Religions (Unifor).

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas presented the grant to Spaoh Chinese community leader Penghulu Goh Seng Tong on Saturday (Sept 12).

The fund is for the temple’s repair works.

Earlier, Uggah who is also Bukit Saban assemblyman, presented cash assistance to an initial group of nine students from needy families from his area who will be going for their tertiary education.

Political secretary to the chief minister Dr Richard Rapu said such assistance have been given continuously.
