KUCHING: Starting today until Nov 11, Jalan Kuching-Serian from 6th Mile to 10th Mile is temporarily half-closed to make way for maintenance work.
According to the Public Works Department (JKR), the half-road closure will be implemented from 9am to 5pm to assist the process of maintenance.
“Road closures will take place during the maintenance duration at the site to give way for heavy machinery to do their tasks.
“The road will be reopened as soon as possible if the maintenance work can be completed earlier than stated time to facilitate the traffic,” JKR said in its statement.
In this regard, the department also advised road users to be careful and adhere to all traffic regulations while driving their vehicles on the road throughout the duration of maintenance.
Additionally, if they are travelling through the affected areas, road users are recommended to plan their journey ahead.
