KUCHING: The old route to Jakar from Saratok and the old road from Jakar to Meruton will be temporarily closed.
According to the Public Works Department (PWD) in a statement, the said closure is to implement construction works to be carried out on the Jakar old road starting from yesterday.
Therefore, it stated that a temporary route will be opened on the new road (CH41+100 to CH43+600).
“We advise the road users to be careful when driving on the route during the construction period and observe all traffic management for safety.
“The contractor will inform you if there is any change in the date or area involved with these works,” it said.
