PUTRAJAYA: Those taking part in the tender processes of the Ministry of Education (MOE) were forbidden from submitting false documents or those amended with intention to cheat.

When issuing the warning today, MOE said it would lodge reports with the police and Malaysian Anti-corruption Commission (MACC) if the tender participants submitted false information.

Those committing the offence could be charged under the MACC Act 2009, said MOE in a statement.

According to the ministry, it had opened a Cooked Food Supplying Service, Cleansing Buildings and Areas Services and Security Guard Service tenders for 2019 in stages starting from March 13.

“MOE hopes every tender participant will give his full co-operation to create a procurement environment which is free from unhealthy elements,” said the ministry which encouraged as much participation as possible in the open tender processes under the e-Perolehan system.

Seeing that prior to this there were many tender participants who submitted false information including on their bank financial standings, MOE stressed the need for the tender participants taking part in the tender processes to prioritise a high integrity. – Bernama
