Every moment is your miracle.

– Anthon St. Maarten, psychic medium and author

The writer and Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari

Sometimes life feels like a dream. Maybe life IS a dream. I have been reading a lot recently about how many scientists are theorising that we may all be simulations, trapped in a low-density frequency perceiving only a small fragment of reality. That we wake up to our real identity when we start vibrating at a higher frequency of happiness and joy and most importantly, realising that we are merely the mind decoding the simulation.

It is exhilarating because if it is true, now we know, we can reprogramme the codes, just like in The Matrix, and we can reinvent our reality, just like in a computer game.

I am leaning towards this being true, because of Sarawak.

I have always, at the back of my mind, from 15 years ago or more, wanted to do business with Sarawak. I told my team then, also my ex who ran the business with me, that instinctively I feel we must be in Sarawak. But in never did happen. They did not feel the way I did about Sarawak.

Then the divorce happened. I took over the reins of the business. It was the five most hardest, most challenging years of my life to reinvent the business, reinvent my thinking and regenerate the network I had built up – I barely survived those years. I emerged however, stronger as an individual and realised capabilities and talent I never knew I had. I realised confidence can do magic, and as I built up my confidence and self esteem, magic started unfurling its wings – like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon.

I started manifesting everything that I set my mind to. And Sarawak happened in such a magical, wonderful way.

It began early this year, January 2022, when I hosted a media luncheon and one of the editors was Rajah Murugaiah from New Sarawak Tribune. He was very intrigued by my story and he said I should write a weekly column for the paper. I of course jumped at the chance and started dedicating my weekends to contributing an article a week.

Then my good friend, the chairman of Press Metal, invited me to Sarawak to meet dignitaries there and I went. All the time hoping I would get a lucky break to find a way to do business in Sarawak. Nothing really happened.

Three months ago, I sent a letter to do a special focus story on the Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari’s vision for Sarawak, and I was elated when he accepted. I flew to Sarawak and had an amazing interview with him and it is published in the latest edition of International Business Review 146.

Now IBR 146 is coincidentally also the awards edition of The International Business Review ASEAN Awards 2022.

When the elections suddenly happened, I realised that it would be unsafe to ask any minister to be the guest of honour as they may all change (as they did) and as I was really in awe of the Premier and intrigued by him, I asked him to be my guest of honour and two weeks later, I was jumping for joy when I got a letter from his special officer, saying he would be able to make it. It just made my day!

Ninth of December.  The Premier graces The International Business Review ASEAN Awards as the guest of honour and he gives a wonderful speech about Sarawak’s branding and positioning to the whole world, and … he personally invites me to create The IBR ASEAN Awards for Sarawak … talk about manifesting dreams to come true!

Here’s an excerpt from his speech

“The winners of the IBR ASEAN Awards are like the hornbill. You are all magnificent, majestic and have much to be proud of. And this award will make you better known to the world…  But when I see the winners gathered here tonight, I wish we could have participation from Sarawak companies because we have so many companies, government agencies and individuals that meet the criteria to win in either of the four categories of the IBR ASEAN Awards. Next year, I hope to see more winners from Sarawak. In fact, I would like to see The IBR Asia Group create a special awards ceremony just for organisations based in Sarawak, to celebrate Sarawak’s contributions to ASEAN. Perhaps that is something that Datuk Beatrice Nirmala can think about.”

Well, she is certainly thinking about it alright. In fact that is all she can think about for the last two days.

This is why I believe magic is real, and that we can create our own reality. We just need to vibrate at a higher frequency and the energy becomes so positive and we attract all that we desire. Like Sarawak and I.
