MIRI: Thieves have stolen RM1,680 worth of batteries yesterday from an express bus which was parked in front of the bus company’s quarters in Jalan Padang Kerbau.
The discovery was made by the driver of the bus at 7.30am.
According to sources, the driver was about to start up the bus when he saw the door to the engine compartment was slightly open.
When he went to check, he noticed that four battery units were missing, believed to have been stolen.
A police report has been lodged at Miri Central Police Station (CPS).
