MIRI: A common myth is that cats have nine lives.
Well maybe, a black cat miraculously survived after it was impaled by a sharp metal railing at a house in Kampung Lusut, Taman Tunku, here this morning (Dec 6).
The poor cat was spotted by its 51-year-old owner who saw the helpless feline stuck on top of the railings.
Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) officer in-charge Lt (PA) Mirwan Shah Masri said four of his personnel rushed to the scene upon being alerted about the incident at 8.18am.
They found the cat impaled by one of the metal railings but eventually managed to rescue the feline.
The cat is said to be recovering.
