KUCHING: Sarawak Energy’s 132kV/33kV substation in Kanowit will reinforce power supply reliability in central Sarawak once it is connected to the transmission grid network.

The substation will further link to Julau and Ngugun medium voltage substations via double-circuit transmission lines, providing thousands more homes and business centres in the area with reliable, renewable and affordable electricity.

The substation is expected to be ready for partial operation in December this year and will be fully operational by March 2021.
