Three compounded for violating SOPs

KUCHING: Police issued a total of three compounds to errant individuals for failing to comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) in public places.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said Kuching recorded two compounds and Kota Samarahan one.

The Ministry of Local Government issued 96 verbal, written and seizure warnings in areas under the supervision of various local councils.

 Patrol teams inspected 1,291 premises throughout Sarawak to monitor  SOP compliance.

These included 273 restaurants, supermarkets (154), banks (111), places of worship (55), public markets (55), government offices (42), leisure places (37), hawker stalls (31), construction sites (23), factories (11), and others (499).

Under Ops Benteng, 1,460 vehicles were inspected at seven roadblocks in six districts —  two in Lawas, and one each in Lundu, Bau, Serian, Sri Aman, and Lubok Antu.
