BINTULU: Three individuals narrowly escaped death after the car they were in overturned at the Sungai Kemena bridge here.
The accident occurred at 3am this morning (May 26).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre promptly dispatched a team from Bintulu fire station to the scene.
Upon arrival at 3.13am, the firefighters found a blue sedan turned turtle after crashing into the road divider.
Bomba reported that three victims were in the car with one trapped inside while two other victims were pulled out by bystanders.
“Firefighters extricated the victim out of the car using an air bag method.
“All three victims were injured and were handed over to paramedics for further treatment,” Bomba said.
After ensuring the roads were safe for road-users, the operation ended at around 4.10am.
