Three house break-ins, over RM10,000 in losses

KUCHING: A store keeper lodged a police report that the warehouse at Utama Bintawa Industrial Estate where he worked was broken into.

The man said he went to the house at 8 am on Monday to find that the door was forced open and stolen were boxes of coconut milk and raspberry juice. Total loss was about RM4,000.

Meanwhile, in a separate case, a doctor from Taiwan, aged 57, who rented a shophouse at Chonglin Park, Jalan Tabuan Road here, said he woke up to find his place broken into on Monday morning.

Missing from his bag were his passport, his working permits, his bank cards, handphone, foreign currency and other items, said the doctor.

He estimated his losses to be about RM6,000. And a floor supervisor, aged 37, from Bau reported that when she returned home from work to her rented place in Jalan Main Bazaar, she found it broken into. Missing were her watch, mobile phone, cash of RM800, car keys and bank books. Police are investigating all the cases.
