SRI AMAN: Three lorries carrying rock materials were stopped by the Sarawak Land and Survey Department’s Enforcement Unit on Sunday.
In a statement, the department said it did not authorise the dredging and removal of rock materials here.
During the operation, four heavy machinery units (three lorries and an excavator) used to carry out the activities were seized as evidence.
The activity was successfully detected as a result of the department’s enforcement unit’s patrolling and monitoring.
The case will be investigated under Section 32A of the State Land Code (Chapter 81).
Following this, members of the public who wish to undertake the dredging or removal of these rock materials are advised to contact the nearest Land and Survey Office for further advice to avoid any enforcement action.
