KUCHING: A foreign man, who pleaded guilty to overstaying, was sentenced to three months’ jail today (May 4).

Kuching Sessions Court judge Maris Agan ordered 28-year-old Ilham to be jailed in Puncak Borneo prison after pleading guilty under Section 15 (1) (c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.

Ilham admitted to being in Malaysia illegally for 402 days after his social visit pass expired.

The accused was arrested at Kampung Tabuan Melayu here on Apr 6 at 5.40pm.
