Three Padawan villages receive sacrificial meat

PADAWAN: A total of 175 sacks of meat were distributed to three villages in Padawan, namely Kampung Temurang, Kampung Darul Islam Belimbing and Kampung Pengkalan Empat in conjunction with the Aidiladha celebration yesterday.

Two cows were sacrificed by the villagers at   Kampung Darul Islam Belimbing.The Aidiladha celebration was also attended by the wife of  Chief Minister Datuk Amar Juma ‘ani Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang and 300 villagers from Kampung Darul Islam Belimbing.

Chairman of Darul Islam Mosque Belimbing, Hussein said that the residents of Kampung Darul Islam were very pleased with the presence of Datuk Amar Juma ‘Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang at the sacrificial meat distribution ceremony. 

At the event,  Juma ‘ani also distributed 20 sacks of meat to 20 villagers of Kampung Darul Islam Belimbing who attended the event.

Also present were Sarawak Islamic Council president, Datu Misnu Taha, Sarawak State Mufti, Datuk Kipli Yassin and Sarawak Islamic Religious Department director Khalidi Ibrahim.
