KUCHING: Several community leaders and village chiefs in Tatau district welcomed the government’s efforts on National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.

They said the government’s move was a good one to cut off the chain of Covid-19 transmissions in order to safeguard the people.

They also urged the public not to be influenced by negative elements on the vaccine spread by irresponsible parties on social media platforms, explaining that the vaccine had been studied in-depth by experts and used worldwide.

The KMKKs also pointed out that the nation’s top leader was the first individual to receive the Covid-19 vaccine — setting an example and boosting the confidence of the people.

They said that aside from registering for vaccination via MySejahtera, Covid-19 vaccination programme registration booklets could be obtained from the Tatau District Office or through the respective KMKKs.

Among the KMKKs who shared their views on the Covid-19 vaccine were Pemanca Gerosen Jubin, Penghulu Lim Tcia Hong, Kapitan Lim Tcia Hua, Tuai Rumah Dora Lani, Tuai Rumah Ado Bilong, and Tuai Rumah Vicky Engkalom.
