PUNCAK BORNEO: TJB FC B emerged champions of Kampung Bunuk nine-a-side youth football tournament after defeating SRS 99 FT in the final played at SK St Paul’s football field here on Sunday.
The tournament which started on Sept 1 attracted 48 teams from Kuching, Bau, Samarahan, and teams from Puncak Borneo.
TJB FC B took home RM1,500, a trophy and medals while SRS 99 FT received RM1,000, a trophy and medals.
TBNU FT and Riveria FC respectively received RM500 and RM300 cash prizes for finishing third and fourth.
Puncak Borneo Member of Parliament Willie Mongin gave away the prizes.
He pledged RM50,000 to Kampung Bunuk Youth Club for their future activities and to repair the football field. Earlier, he gave RM6,000 to organise the competition.
