Top Dayak students get cash incentives

MIRI: A total 104 top students here received cash incentives for their academic success at the recent Miri Dayak Students Excellence Award.

he presentation of the award was held in conjunction with the Miri Division Gawai Dayak celebration, by the Miri Division Gawai Dayak Working Committee last Sunday at Bintang Megamall.

It was officiated by Senator Dato Dr Nuing Jeluing.

Education Sub Committee Chairman , Mathew Benson Mounsey also announced Education Award Incentives amounting to RM24,100 pledged by Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Art Performance Datuk Sebastian Ting at the event.

Of the total eight were top scorers in the 2019 UPSR, 29 for SPM (2019), 23 for STPM(2019), 31 for SPM (2020) and 13 for STPM (2020).

All recipients received a certificate and cash incentives of RM100 for UPSR, RM200 for SPM , RM300 for STPM and additional RM100 for Best Achiever in each category
