BALINGIAN: The Kampung Pulat village development and security committee (JKKK) here chipped in some money to help finance the purchase of 56 units of wheeled dustbins for their own use recently.

The initiative of the committee drew attention from Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi, who then provided some funds from his minor rural project (MRP) allocation to contribute towards the cost of the dustbins.

He said the government under Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) would continue to implement projects for the benefit of the people.

“Beside physical and socio-economic development, connectivity to coastal areas is also being implemented,” he said when officiating at the handover of the wheeled dustbins to recipients at Kampung Pulat community hall here on Sunday.

The former Dalat and Mukah District Council walikota added that the development projects implemented was aimed at enhancing the wellbeing of the people.

Kampung Pulat JKKK chairman Harun Ulis thanked Abdul Yakub for his assistance in providing the necessary allocation for the wheeled dustbins.
