MIRI: The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) are investigating a trader believed to be selling 50 LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) without licence at Taman Tunku here.

KPDNHEP Miri chief Joe Azmi Jamil said an enforcement team raided the premises around 11am today.

“Inspection found that the suspect was selling a total of 50 LPG without licence from KPDNHEP. All LPG items, worth about RM10,000, were seized.

“The case is being investigated under the Control of Supplies Act 1961. It is up to the deputy public prosecutor whether the case will be issued a compound or brought to court.”
