If trees were us,
Would we cut them down?
If we do cut them down,
What does that make of us?
Yes, trees are us,
But you just don’t get it!
If only you’d knew …
You’d not even contemplate it
The cutting down of trees
Is like choking yourselves
With your own bare hands
Instead, why not extend those arms
And hug the trees
In appreciation and gratefulness
For trees are us
