KUCHING: Three unemployed man have been arrested for being in possession of drugs on Tuesday at an unnumbered house in Kampung Melayu, Siniawan.
The trio, aged between 28 and 31, were arrested at around 4.20pm.
Bau police chief DSP Poge Nyaon said acting on information, his team went to the said house and found the trio there.
The suspects were checked and the police found a small box containing five yellow tubes of different sizes. The tubes were filled with crystal-like substances believed to be syabu which weighed 0.45g.
The trio also tested positive for drugs.
Subsequently, they were arrested under Section 12 (2) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952 and will be additionally charged under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1953 for drug consumption.
All three suspects had no previous convictions.
