PADAWAN: A local man and two foreigners were arrested for violating the standard operating procedures (SOPs) at Jalan Tondong, Batu Kawa on Tuesday.

Padawan District police chief, Supt Aidil Bolhassan said that the trio — aged between 23 and 34 years old — were arrested in a raid conducted at a snooker centre around 11pm.

“During the inspection, the man, who was a customer, and the two women, who were store keepers, were found to be violating the SOPs.

“They failed to use face masks, did not write down the required personal details in a notebook and operated beyond the allotted time,” he said in a statement yesterday.

The two women, believed to be Indonesian nationals, claimed to work at the premises and said their identity documents were kept by their employer. They failed to provide identity documents at the scene.

The case is being investigated under Regulation 10 (Directive of the Director General of Health), namely the Infectious Disease Prevention Regulations
(Measures in Local Infected Areas) (No.7) 2020 and Section 6 (1) (c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
