LUNDU: Three persons, who were reported missing on Monday night, were later found on the same night.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre, the trio had gone out to look for clams near a river at Kampung Perigi, Lundu.
Bomba was alerted after receiving information from the police on the missing persons around 7.50pm.
Following the information, a search and rescue (SAR) team was dispatched to search for the trio – a male individual and two females.
On that same night, the SAR team was able to track and locate the trio, who were 5km away from their last known location.
They were immediately rescued by the team and brought back to land.
