KUCHING: Three men, believed to be involved in a burglary case at the Sarawak River Water Inspection station, have been arrested.

The burglary was witnessed by one of the station’s monitoring personnel last Friday while inspecting a station near Kampung Sebuak before making a police report.

Padawan OCPD Supt Aidil Bolhassan said two of the three suspects were arrested near the Kota Sentosa Maybank branch around 12.20pm yesterday.

A check on the suspects’ vehicle found suspected stolen items — a unit of Two Start Brand Air Compressor and a unit of DAB Model PC31 brand Water Pressure.

“The two suspects are aged 33 and 41. However, both did not acknowledge the goods belonged to them and reasoned that they had been ordered by an individual to sell the goods,” he said.

Police arrested another suspect, 39, at Kampung Sebuak around 2pm.

Supt Aidil noted that the third suspect admitted to stealing the goods, adding that the four batteries are believed to be stolen.
