KUCHING: Sarawak Energy today confirmed that a trip at the Sarikei 132/33kV transformers was the cause of loss of power supply to Sarikei town and some parts of Saratok and Kabong around 5pm on Friday.
Power was restored in stages by the technical team and full restoration was achieved by 7.20pm, it said in a statement.
The company apologised for the inconvenience caused.
