MIRI: Two heavy trucks were hauled up for being hazards to road safety in a joint operation mounted by the police and Miri City Council.

A compound notice was also handed to a housing developer for causing a dusty environment.

The one-day special operation on June 30 was carried out at four areas here.

“MCC together with relevant enforcement agencies will continue to carry out inspections to curb various road traffic offences,”said Mayor Adam Yii in a statement on Saturday.

A fatal road accident occurred a few days ago at a housing development area involving an earth-carrying truck and a motorist.
