SERIAN: The number of flood victims housed at a temporary evacuation centre (PPS) in Dewan Kampung Betong Kanowit remained at 21 from six families yesterday.
The families are from Kampung Betong Kanowit whose houses were inundated in flood water since Monday, a statement from the State Disaster Management Committee said.
The statement added that heavy rainfall around the Betong Kenawit river had caused the river to overflow its banks and affected the low-lying areas of the village.
