MIRI: A car was destroyed after being engulfed in a fire at a car park.
The unfortunate incident occurred nearby a hotel at Jalan Exora here on Tuesday night.
The Zone 6 Miri Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) chief Supt Law Poh Kiong said one fire engine with eight firefighters were despatched to the scene in response to an alert received at 7.44pm.
Upon their arrival, the team members found that the car was still burning and they quickly began putting out the fire to prevent it from spreading further.
They managed to control the fire at 7.56pm.
No injuries or casualties were reported and the operation ended at 8pm.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained and investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, at a separate location that same night, another car was reported to have been destroyed completely by fire nearby Pujut 6.
