MIRI: Two churches here on Sunday (Dec 6) have received allocations from the state Unit for Other Religions (Unifor).
Two cheques, totaling RM150,000, were presented to the churches by Tourism, Arts and Culture Assistant Minister Datuk Sebastian Ting.
Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) Canada Hill church received RM50,000 while Holy Rosary Chapel, Kampung Piasau Utara received RM100,000.
The handover ceremony of the cheques took place at the respective church buildings.
