MIRI: Two car drivers escaped unhurt in an accident involving a Ferrari F430 and a Peugeot at Jalan Jee Foh here, last Sunday evening.

Miri District Deputy Police chief, Supt Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said the accident was believed to have occurred around 6.40pm when the driver of the Peugeot car made a right turn at a junction and crashed into the Ferrari that was heading to the city centre from Piasau.

“Following the accident, the Ferrari crashed by the roadside and later burst into flames,” he said here.

Meanwhile, a team of six firefighters from Miri fire station was called to the scene to put out the fire.

Upon arrival at the scene at 6.50pm, the firefighers took about 20 minutes to put out the blaze.

Traffic policemen were also at the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
