KUCHING: Two car drivers, one a policeman, were seriously injured after their vehicles collided at Rock Road at about 1 am yesterday.
The police officer, aged 37, from Kuching District Police Station, was heading from Wisma Saberkas towards Rock Road while the other driver, aged 40, driving from the opposite direction was alleged to have lost control of his vehicle, ramped a lamp post and hit the policeman’s car.
It was raining at the time of the accident. Passers-by called for an ambulance from the Sarawak General Hospital. The police man suffered injuries to his waist and is put in yellow zone while the other driver has serious injuries to his head and body.
Police were at the scene to conduct an investigation. Both drivers were warded.
