SPAOH: Two senior citizens here received a wheelchair each from Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) in a news report on Wednesday (Jan 19), the recipients were 71-year-old Siong Mui Fah and 88-year-old Kuan Foo who both lost one of their legs due to diabetes.
Representatives from the Bukit Saban Service Centre, Penghulu Gong Leng Tong on Tuesday handed over the wheelchairs to the elderly persons at their respective residences.
The recipients also conveyed their appreciation to Uggah, who is also the Bukit Saban assemblyman, for his concern.
They said Uggah’s contributions were able to help them to live a better and more comfortable life.
