BINTULU: Narcotics police arrested two men, including a foreigner, for allegedly possessing drugs during raids at two separate locations recently.
Bintulu OCPD Supt Batholomew Umpit said the first arrest involving a 35-year-old foreigner was made last Sunday (June 26) at Jalan Abang Galau.
“The suspect will be investigated under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 after police seized 0.5g of drugs believed to be syabu from him.
“The suspect will also be investigated under Section 15(1) of the same Act 1952 after he tested positive for drugs,” he said.
The second arrest involving a 26-year-old local was made last Monday (June 27) at Kidurong Industrial area.
Batholomew said the suspect would be investigated under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for possessing 0.6g of drugs believed to be syabu.
