BETONG: A sedan car collided with a dump lorry on Pan Borneo Highway between Sarikei and Sri Aman, causing injuries to two.
The State Fire and Rescue Operation Centre (Bomba) received an emergency call about a traffic accident this afternoon at 1.06pm.
Upon receiving the emergency call, firemen from Betong station were drspatched to the crash location.
“The operation commander reported that the collision at the location involved a sedan car and a dump lorry.
“There were two people getting stuck inside the sedan car and both sustained injuries.
“Both victims were extricated from their vehicle by members of the public nearby before the arrival of firemen,” said the commander in a statement.
Both victims were transported using ambulances to Betong Hospital for treatment. The lorry driver did not sustain any injuries.
