MIRI: Two women aged 56 and 49 sustained injuries in a collision at a traffic intersection along the Miri Bypass road on Monday (Feb 26).
The car they were travelling in collided with another vehicle.
The Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) promptly responded to the scene around 1.09pm to provide medical assistance.
The accident involved a Proton Saga and a sports utility vehicle (SUV), with the SUV’s driver emerging unharmed.
Reports suggest the collision occurred as the Proton Saga executed a right turn, heading towards Riam Road from the Miri Bypass.
The incoming SUV, travelling from Miri Airport direction, collided with the turning vehicle.
The impact resulted in significant damage to both vehicles and caused injuries to the Proton Saga’s driver and its occupant.
Miri APM quickly transported both victims to Miri Hospital for medical attention.
