KUCHING: JCI Padawan and JCI Riam successfully organised a talk with the topic “Personal Development – Understanding Yourself” held at a restaurant here recently.

“The talk was aimed at discovering and developing the inherent potentials of individuals, and to accept themselves in order to form the correct self-concept,” said Organising Chairman, William Bong.

The invited speaker for the talk was Dato Christopher Chin who is an experienced trainer and speaker.

He started the talk with a broad introduction to theories and findings associated with the scientific study of human behaviour. He also shared materials that can be actively applied to everyday life and which should enhance our self-understanding and personal growth.

The talk was held in conjunction with JCI Malaysia Training Month.

A series of JCI official courses and JCI recommended courses will be conducted this month in order to equip members and enhance their skills for greater impact.

JCI (Junior Chamber International) is an international non-profit, non-governmental organisation with the purpose of providing opportunities for young people to develop their leadership skills, to exercise their social responsibilities, to build connections through fellowship and to be more entrepreneurial, with the goal of creating positive change in this world.
