MIRI: Two people were killed on the spot while five others injured in an accident involving two four-wheel-drives (4WD) near Rumah Robert, Suai at Jalan Pan Borneo Miri-Bintulu here today (Dec 21).
Miri Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) acting chief Ahmad Nizam Sapaiee said a distress call on the incident was received at 12.49pm before a team of firemen from Batu Niah fire station were despatched to the scene.
“Upon arrival at the scene it was found that the accident involved a Toyota Hilux and an Isuzu Dmax,” he said.
The firemen freed the trapped victims from both vehicles using special equipment.
Two of the injured victims were teenage boys aged 13 and 18 years old.
