MIRI: Two local men were detained by the police during a raid at a house early yesterday morning at Kings Park Jalan Airport when they were found having drugs believed to be syabu weighing at 172grammes worth RM17,200 that were seized as case evidence.
The two suspects aged 42 and 43 are currently remanded for seven days to facilitate police investigation.
According to Miri district police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, the raid was carried out by a team of Sarawak Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department around 12.20am.
He added, the police had also discovered several equipment used in drug processing namely a sealer, weighing machine and transparent plastic package.
The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
