Lee, who is also Transport Minister, added that 11 longhouses and three oil palm estates in this district had been released from lockdown. The longhouses are Rumah Emah; Rumah Rumah Apol; Rumah Anthony; Rumah Chabu; Rumah Justine; Rumah Nelson; Rumah Lawang; Rumah Banyan; Rumah Clarence; Rumah Sabang and Rumah Long Jeeh.

He revealed this after chairing a meeting with Miri DDMC committee via Zoom.

He reminded the public to continue complying with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to curb the spread of Covid-19.

For this coming Chap Goh Mei celebration, Lee again reminded the celebrants to follow the SOPs laid down by the government to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Lee stressed that activities such as open house and house-to-house visits would not be allowed.

The traditional lion or dragon dance would also not be permitted.

“The celebration is limited to close family members and a maximum of 20 persons at any given time,” he said.

The host is obligated to provide temperature screening for family members, who are required to register themselves through MySejahtera, CovidTrace or Qmunity to facilitate contact tracing.

“Alternatively, the host can also use manual registration, with details such as name, contact number, date and time of visit,” he explained.

Family members whose body temperatures exceed 37.5 degrees Celsius or who display any symptoms should not be allowed to enter and are advised to visit the nearest hospital or health clinic.
