Two-metre python caught in Miri

APM Miri secured the chicken coop and the reptile has been released into the wild.

MIRI: A two-metre-long python was caught after it believed to have been swallowing a chicken belonged to a 47 year-man from Kampung Piasau Utara, early on this morning.

The reptile, found inside a chicken coop with a bulging stomach was safely removed by Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel.

According to Miri Civil Defence Force officer in-charge Captain (PA) Usman Harto, said upon receiving a distress called from the man at 6.16am today, three APM Miri personnel were deployed to the scene and arrived there 20 minutes later.

It took them less than 15 minutes to catch the reptile. The python was then released into the wild.
