Two more PUI cases in Sarawak

KUCHING: Two more new Person Under Investigation (PUI) cases for Covid-19 were recorded yesterday.

According to a statement issued by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), the cases were reported at 10.30am at the Sarawak General Hospital and Sibu Hospital.

“With the new cases, the number of PUI cases has risen up to 112 since Jan 10.

“Both patients are Malaysians,” it added.

A total of 110 cases have tested negative in laboratory tests.

The 112 PUI cases comprised 88 Malaysians, 21 Chinese nationals, one Thai, one Indonesian and one Canadian.

On Sunday (Feb 23), the Health Department screened a total of 14, 649 arrivals to the state.

Since Jan 1 this year, 194,904 arrivals have been screened at airports and all other entry points in Sarawak.
