Two more suspects in bike theft cases arrested

MIRI: Police arrested two more men suspected of being involved in several motorcycle theft cases in the district.

Both men in their 30s were separately detained at Tudan and Senadin around 5.30pm last Saturday.

The arrests were made following the arrest of four of their accomplices at a shop at Emart Commercial Centre in Tudan last Friday night.

“All suspects are believed to be active in stealing motorcycles and later selling them to buyers at oil palm plantations,” said sources.

The sources said all suspects had previous criminal records for stealing motorcycles in this district.

“The suspects were detained to assist in further investigation,” he added.

Police are investigating the case under Section 379A of the Penal Code.
