MIRI: Heavy rain since Sunday has resulted in Kampung Long Bemang and two primary schools in Baram – Sekolah Rendah Long Lenei and SK Long Wat, to be flooded.
The flood water level in Kampung Long Bemang where some 530 villagers reside, was reported to be 0.8 feet deep, while the two schools were inundated in 2.5 feet deep of flood water this morning.
According to the acting Miri Fire and Rescue chief Ahmad Nizam Sapaiee, there has been no evacuation of flood victims thus far as the situation was still under control.
