TYT gets visit from new Sarawak JaPen heads

KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud received a courtesy call from Sarawak Information Department (JaPen) director Swady Guliling at Demak Jaya on Monday.

Among the objectives of the visit was to introduce the new director and deputy director of Sarawak JaPen, Swady and Aziz Abdul Rahman respectively, who had commenced their service earlier this year.

Swady had begun his term as Sarawak JaPen director from Jan 28, replacing Abang Sardon Abang Hashim, who has been transferred to the Strategic Communications Division of the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia in Putrajaya.

Swady, 56, who is from Sabah, had previously served as director of Labuan, Melaka, Terengganu and Sabah JaPen, and lastly as director of the Cyber Media Division of JaPen headquarters in Putrajaya, before serving here in Sarawak.

Meanwhile, Aziz, a Sarawakian, had commenced his duties as Sarawak JaPen deputy director from Jan 14, replacing Ali Suhaili, who has been promoted as Selangor JaPen director.

Aziz had previously served as public relations officer in the Corporate Communications Unit of the Ministry of Primary Industries.

Also present at the visit was chief assistant director of the Communication Services and Community Development Division of Sarawak JaPen, Ajes Tuah.
