KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Seri Abdul Taib Mahmud received a courtesy call from the 2022 Gawai Dayak celebration working committee at Demak Jaya, today.
The delegation was led by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas who is the minister responsible for the celebration. The visit was to invite Taib and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib to the grace the event.
The state-level Gawai Dayak 2022 celebration will be held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on June 25.
Also present during the courtesy call were Minister in the Premier’s Department Datuk John Sikie Tayai, Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development I Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, Deputy Minister of Transport I Datuk Dr. Jerip Susil and Deputy Minister of Utilities and Telecommunications I Datuk Liwan Lagang.
