Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and wife Datuk Amar Juma’ani Bujang will also be present too.

Themed “Malaysia Prihatin”, the event will kick off with the “Malam Mesra Ambang Sambutan Hari Kebangsaan” dinner to be held at the Sri Simanggang Hotel on Sunday.

There will be cultural and numerous other entertaining performances by members of the Sarawak Arts Council and locals from Sri Aman as well as the presentation of letters of appointments to community leaders by His Excellency and the chief minister.

A total of 250 people are invited to the event in compliance with the standard operating procedure (SOP) in view of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

On Aug 31, Abdul Taib, Abang Johari, and the other dignitaries will take part in a “Unity Walk” starting from the Sri Aman Civic Centre at 9am.
