Ugak arrives at the Randau Session.

KAPIT: The issue of employment of teachers in rural areas will be addressed, said Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong.

In stating this, the Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) assured that he will try to find a solution for such issues, including in the Kapit district.

“I believe that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is aware of the issue of dilapidated schools in Sarawak and wants the schools to be upgraded so that teachers will be more enthusiastic to serve in rural areas,” he said, as reported by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS).

He said this in a brief speech during the Randau Session with the Kapit Headmaster Council yesterday (Jan 27).

Adding on, he pointed out that Kapit is lucky to have three full ministers who will help develop the area from various aspects.

“Moreover, in regards to the smart school, the issue of poor internet access will be resolved soon with the provision of a new internet line by Sarawak Multimedia Authority Rural Telecommunication (SMART),” he said.
