Uggah pays last respects to the late Benedict

SPAOH: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas paid his last respects to the late Benedict Blaki Lawrence Sanggat at his longhouse in Tanjong, Paku, Spaoh last Saturday (Mar 20).

Benedict, 56, was serving at Sarawak Public Relations Unit (UKAS) Betong Division. He passed away on Thursday (Mar 17) and left behind his wife and a daughter.

According to a report by UKAS, the late Benedict will be laid to rest on Monday (Mar 22).

Meanwhile, among other elected representatives who paid their last respects were MP Betong Datuk Robert Lawson Chuat, Layar assemblyman Gerald Rentap Jabu, and political secretary to the Chief Minister Dr Richard Rapu.

The day before, Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department — Corporate Affairs and Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) Abdullah Saidol, and UKAS director Samat Junai also paid their last respects to the late Benedict.
